Evidence & experience
Physiotherapy treatment & advice
The goal is to help you recover quickly and stay better — whether that’s a pain-free stroll on the beach or shaving seconds off a PB.
How treatment works
Care combines hands-on treatment with clear explanation. Assessment looks at why something hurts — which structures are involved, how you move, and what keeps the problem going — then builds a plan around that.
- Manipulation and mobilisations where evidence supports them
- Soft tissue and trigger-point work taught at postgraduate level
- Movement retraining and home exercise that matches your goals
- Video analysis when walking or running is part of the picture
Conditions
Common problems we treat
Remote care
Telehealth consultations
When you can’t get to Hove, remote sessions still cover assessment, exercise progression, and performance advice. Useful for follow-ups, travel, or early guidance after a flare-up.
Acute injury
Early days matter. We help you settle pain, protect healing tissue, and decide when loading should start again — so you don’t lose weeks to guesswork.
After surgery
Structured rehab after orthopaedic procedures: restore range, rebuild strength, and return to sport or work with clear milestones.
Osteoarthritis
Strength, control and smart activity beats “rest forever”. Plans focus on what you want to keep doing — walking, golf, gym, work.
Pregnancy-related pain
Pelvic, back and hip symptoms during and after pregnancy — assessed carefully and treated with appropriate exercise and hands-on care.
Shoulders & headaches
Complex shoulder pain & headaches
Kevin’s NIHR-funded PhD research focused on rotator cuff related shoulder pain — useful when symptoms are stubborn or previous treatment hasn’t stuck. Neck-driven headaches are assessed alongside spinal and soft-tissue contributors.
